How often should actuators be re-built?

There are many factors that affect the seal life of an actuator, such as frequency of use, temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and mishandling. So, rebuild intervals can vary significantly between different situations.

Our actuator rebuild interval guidelines are listed below. Please remember that the best rebuild interval for your processes could vary significantly from these guidelines:

Manual Actuators:
  • Every 3 years

Pneumatic Actuators:
  • Actuating once per hour or less: Every 3 years
  • Actuating once per minute: Every two years
  • Actuating once per second: Every year
