How often should actuators be re-built?

It is important to note that there are many factors that can affect the seal life of your actuator, such as,  frequency of use, temperature exposure, chemical exposure, mis-handling, etc. rebuild intervals can vary.

Below is a guideline that can help you determine your rebuild intervals.  Remember, based on your processes your rebuild times may vary:


Manual Actuators:  Every 3 years


Pneumatic Actuators:

  • Actuating once per hour or less: Every 3 years
  • Actuating once per minute: Every two years
  • Actuating once per second: Every year.
